Cadillac Contracting and Civil

Subdivision earthworks and civil works

Subdividing a block or developing a small estate means earthworks, roads, drainage and lots that are ready for builders. We handle the civil side, from the first bulk cut through to finished lots.

What we do on subdivisions

Each stage follows on from the last, so having one contractor for the lot keeps it moving.

  • Clearing and bulk earthworks across the site
  • Cut and fill to the design levels
  • Lot pads prepared and compacted
  • Internal roads and access
  • Stormwater drainage and culverts
  • Service trenches
  • Kerbing and footpaths

Working to the design

Subdivision work runs to engineering drawings and approval conditions. We work to the design levels and specs you give us, and keep you across progress as each stage is finished so your surveyor, engineer and service providers can follow on without waiting.

One contractor, one fleet

Excavators, the dozer, graders, rollers, water carts, articulated dump trucks and tippers all come from our own fleet. With the plant and the crew under one roof there is less waiting between stages, and you deal directly with the people running the job.

Behind that is more than 20 years of bulk earthworks on WA mine sites, where volumes are large and programmes are tight. Moving a lot of dirt efficiently, keeping haul roads in good shape and compacting to spec are things we do every day.

Pricing a subdivision

Subdivision pricing comes from the engineering drawings and the approval conditions, so send through whatever you have: civil drawings, the survey and any geotechnical report.

On a smaller subdivision, like splitting a block into two or three lots, the work is often a mix of demolition, cut and fill, lot pads, service trenches and a shared driveway. We can quote each part on its own or the whole job together, whichever suits how you are funding and staging it.
